Countdown to the Manitoba Marathon
Had a good week of training. On Monday and Wednesday I performed a block workout in which I ran hard in the morning and evening. I normally wouldn’t do this strenuous of training 14 days from a marathon, but I figure I can recover in time. I’m looking forward to the final week before the marathon I have two massage and a couple chiropractic appointments planned. The hay is in the barn so its just a matters of doing some fine tuning with nutrition and light workouts.
Monday
Am: 10 Minute Easy Run + 6 x 10 seconds (1min jog) + 5 x 3 Minutes at 5km effort (3min jog) + 10 Minute Easy Run
Pm: 10 Minute Easy Run + 6 x 10 seconds (1min jog) + 4 x 4 Minutes at 5km effort (3min jog) + 10 Minute Easy Run + 20 Minutes of weights
Tuesday
60 Minute Easy Run
Wednesday
Am: 15 Minute Easy Run + 8 x 10 seconds (walk back) + 8 x 3 Minutes at 5km effort (3min jog) + 15 Minute Easy Run
Pm: 10 Minute Easy Run + footwork drills + 6 x 400 Meters (2:30 rest) + 10 Minute Easy Run
Thursday
30 Minute Easy Run
Friday
40 Minute Hill Progression Run + 20 Minutes of Weights
Saturday
80 Minute Easy Run
Sunday
15 Minute Easy Run + 6 x 10 seconds (walk back) + 20 Minute Threshold Run Uphill + 15 Minute Easy Run + Circuits

You should be very proud of your self working hard trying to prepare for the Marathon. I could never get on a good schedule like how you are! Personally, that must take a lot of motivate and hard work to get where you are today. Its a life style more than anything and I respect you for it, along with others who do it!
